Mongolian beef - originally a Taiwanese recipe - is the easiest way to have a flavourful and delicious restaurant-style dinner at home and take about 30 minutes to make.
Ingredients:
- Soy sauce
- Dark brown sugar
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Vegetable or sesame oil
- Onions
- Chilli flakes (if you would like to make it spicy)
Instructions:
• Slice the flank steak across the grain then mix with cornstarch and set aside
• In a large pan, fry the beef in hot oil until crispy
• In a wok, mix all the ingredients for the sauce and cook until thickened
• Add the beef to the sauce mixture, stir to combine and add the onions
• Serve with white or brown rice
